Legalism
Legalism was very different from the two other to philosophies. Legalism offered new answers about how to solve problems that interfere with order and good government.Legalism was based on the teachings of Hanfeizi. Hanfeizi was concerned and focused on creating peace and order in society, like Confucius. Although, Hanfeizi did not believe that Confucian teachings taught proper behavior.The people that followed Legalism believed that most people were naturally selfish. Therefore, it was not enough for rulers to set a good example. So instead, they should etablish strict laws and enforced them. For good acts or behavior, there were granted with rewards. Bad behavior, and there were conceqinces.Legalist philosophy had an almost immediate influence on government in China. At the end of the Warring States period, the Qin (chin) dynasty seized control of China.
